Hi

We have tried to upgrade rad editor on moss 2007 by retracting then removing the solution and then adding the new one, that did not work so we tried to re-install the previous version which works fine in the site collections but it does not appear under the solution management. when try to retract or delete it says that it does not exist under the solution store.
We can't add the solution again because we get an error message
name:radeditormoss.wsp depends on other objects which do not exist

Thanks

Hi Ranya,

Unfortunately the provided information in not enough for me to determine what the reason for the problem is.
Could you please send me the complete error details? I will review them and do my best to provide a solution.

Best wishes,

We have rad control working on the site but we can't upgrade it because when we try to retract the solution it comes with a message that it does not exist in the solution management store in central admin.

How can we upgraded?

Thanks

Hi Ranya,

Please review the following help article that demonstrates how to achieve the desired behavior:
http://www.telerik.com/help/moss/editor/uninstalling%20radeditor.html

In addition, note that you can retract or delete RadEditor for moss using the stsadm command line utility e.g.

stsadm.exe -o deletesolution
            -name <Solution name>
            [-override]
            [-lcid <language>]

stsadm.exe -o retractsolution
            -name <Solution name>
           [-url <virtual server url>]
           [-allcontenturls]
           [-time <time to remove at>]
           [-immediate]
           [-local]
           [-lcid <language>]

I hope this helps.

Best regards, George
