VS Not Displaying Telerik Controls

1st problem: Probably a simply problem, the page runs fine but the ASP.NET Radcontrols don't display in the Designer - see attached screen capture - "Error Rendering Control - button" - in the Bin\ folder are: Telerik.Web.UI.dll, Telerik.Web.UI.Skins.dll and Telerik.Web.UI.xml. Again, it runs fine.

2nd problem: I can't drag any ASP.NET Radcontrol to the Designer, the control doesn't get placed on to the page. I CAN drag any Standard control (i.e. button, textbox, etc...) which works fine, but not Telerik controls. I've been typing them in the Source, but it'd be really nice to drag them too.

Fixed 1st problem by right clicking on the Telerik.Web.UI.dll in \Bin and selecting Update Reference from the menu.

2nd problem still escapes me. Please help.

Hi Derek,

Please remove manually the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX from the toolbox of Visual Studio and use the approach suggested in this help article in order to add them again by referencing the latest version of Telerik.Web.UI.dll.

Hi Slav, Thank you for your reply. Your suggestion is better than the support reply I received in my ticket -- which was to turn my computer off and then on again, which didn't work of course. I even tried turning the lights off and on, but sadly that too did not help. In the time it took waiting, I uninstalled all copies of Telerik and reinstalled the purchased download and I can now drag RAD controls on to ASP.NET pages. I do not know what the problem was, it could have been an issue moving from the trial to purchased version, not sure. But if it happens again I will refer to your suggestion and it is much appreciated. Kind regards, Derek
