version 2014.2.618.35 in VS 2008

Are there any issues running version 2014.2.618.35 in VS 2008.  It all seems to work when running but when in the designer view all the controls get 

Error Creating Control
Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI, version.....

• examine this section on a common reason for the problem: http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/introduction-troubleshooting.html#could-not-load-file-or-assembly.
• examine this article on common design-time problems: http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/introduction-design-time-troubleshooting.html.
• try removing and referencing the Telerik assemblies again to make sure that the references are correct, and restart VS: http://blogs.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/posts/12-12-21/upgrade-the-version-of-your-telerik-asp.net-controls-in-6-easy-steps.
