Is it possible to use or call the link manager in custom sharepoint control like the "sharepoint asset url selector" ?

Here is a example für "sharepoint asset url selector":
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.sharepoint.publishing.webcontrols.asseturlselector.aspx

Is there an example for the "link manager" from telerik?

Many Thanks

Hi,

The link manager of RadEditor does not support the requested scenario out-of-the box.

I consulted with our leading RadEditor developer and there are currently no plans to provide such support.

We hope this will not prove a major showstopper for your applications. Of course, if there are more requests for this, we will take this functionality into consideration.

Best regards,

Hi Rumen,
the reason for this request is that the MOSS Link Manager cannot handle any links at all using any non-IE-browsers.

When we try to set a link, we get a result like this:

< a href="bla"> but the rest of the code (linked word, closing tag) is missing.

Also we cannot set an anchor due to the fact that the field is not accessible.

Are there any ideas how we can fix this?

Best regards,
Michael

Hello Michael,

Have you installed the SP1 update for MOSS 2007? Some users have reported that it fixes the incompatibility of the Asset Picker dialog (MOSS Link Manager) and Firefox.

All the best,

The SP1 has no effect in this case. But we found a way to use the Telerik Link Manager instead of the MOSS one.
This way we haven't the asset picker, but our users are able to set links using firefox or safari.
Best Regards  from Germany's black forrest,
Michael
