Hi

We have a project built in VS 2005 on the .NET 2.0 framework, and we are to upgrade it to VS 2012 .

This project is using the Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET Q1 2009.

Does anyone have any idea what issues will we face?

Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul,

Thank you for contacting us.

There are a lot of breaking changes you might face. The following articles describe the changes in our controls since Q1 2009:
http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/radcontrols-changes-backwards-compatibility.html
http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/whats-new.aspx (Release History section)

I hope this information is helpful.

Kind regards,
Chavdar,
the Telerik team

I just realised I wasnt so clear.....

What we don't want to do is upgrade the Telerik libraries, so would migrating to newer Visual Studio versions force us to upgrade Telerik?

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

Sorry for the confusion.

You should not experience any problems after migrating to newer version of Visual Studio.

However, feel free to contact us if anything pops up.

All the best,
Chavdar,
the Telerik team
