Telerik has the most aggressive and reliable release schedule in the industry, shipping 3 major and up to 6 minor releases a year. NEW CONTROLS
Persistence Framework beta
Give your end users the freedom to arrange and use your app in a way most convenient to them. Thanks to Telerik’s new Persistence Framework, they will be able to configure your pages as they like and see the same configuration when they access the pages in time. The framework works with the UI-configurable RadControls and allows you to configure what to persist and where to persist it.

With Q1’13 RadPivotGrid goes official. It now adds much-anticipated features like:

- Richer server-side and client-side APIs

Use this lightweight and high-performing dropdown control in simple scenarios instead of our ASP.NET ComboBox. RadDropDownList features:

Enable your users to quickly search your web app or site with RadSearchBox for ASP.NET AJAX. The control features AutoComplete helping users find what they need faster and is optimized for responsiveness when browsing large data sets. Other key features include:

Package multiple files on the fly in a single Zip file, while in your Web Application code behind without the need to utilize additional tools. Decompress Zip files to show info for their content or provide separate files for download. Compress streams to send them with less traffic on the client.

HTML Chart
Enjoy two new chart types, Bubble and Donut, and improved visual appearance for axes, labels, titles, legend, etc. Save even more time using the super enhanced Design-time wizard.

Telerik’s control is becoming the most innovative ASP.NET Image Editor in the industry leveraging the HTML5 Canvas tag to add drawing capabilities, as well as built-in filters like Sepia, Hue/Saturation and Gray Scale.

RadGrid now supports the .NET 4.5 Model Binding and data annotation validation. The control also adds a more lightweight dropdown in the built-in pager item.
Editor
Your users can enjoy multiple “Paste from Word” improvements ensuring that the pasted content looks as close to the original as possible, as well as the ability to select multiple images in the Image Manager. You can now plug external export libraries in RadEditor.
Barcode
You can now render RadBarcode as an image, which means you can also save and print it. Export to PDF is also available.

You can now allow your users to pause and resume the file upload process. You can also use the newly-exposed API to display the uploaded files’ last modified date.

You can now manage absolutely any property of all data-bound RadControls using the enhanced Design-time wizards.

ROADMAP
What’s coming in Q2 2013
The Q2 2013 release of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX will be all about performance – the plan is more lightweight HTML, CSS and resources, as well as thorough bug fixing for all major controls. We will continue the mobile optimizations under all browsers and devices, as well as add a new TileList control to help you leverage the latest technology trends. Read more details below.
New for All Controls
Lightweight Rendering
A few more controls will add a lightweight rendering mode in Q2 2013. This mode will use more lightweight HTML, styles and image resources by leveraging HTML5 and CSS3 in modern browsers and will allow the Dock, Window, FormDecorator, and ToolTip controls to achieve better responsiveness and less traffic between the server and the client.
More Stable Controls
We plan to allocate more time for bug fixing in Q2 2013 to make sure we deliver stable and well performing controls and this pertains to not just the new controls and features, but also to the existing ones. The Editor, Grid and Scheduler will get special attention.
Mobile Support Improvements
We will continue to make sure that RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX are working well on mobile devices. We are going to put effort into improving the experience under IE10 and other browsers running on Windows 8 machines with touch monitors.
New Controls
TileList
The new TileList control will help you build navigation pages that have modern style of the Windows 8 start menu. The controls will provide the basic tile types, drag-to-reorder tile functionality, as well as tile selection.
