NEW FOR EXISTING CONTROLS

Lightweight Rendering Mode

You can now switch the rendering of our Calendar, Window, Tooltip, Dock and FormDecorator controls to one based on HTML5 and CSS3. This will result in more lightweight HTML, CSS and resources used by your application and thus – in better performance.

Html Chart

Enjoy a new chart type, Candlestick, as well as the much-anticipated support for Date and Time series. You can now set colors for the series and the series tooltips, as well as allow your users to show or hide a certain series by clicking on its name in the legend.

Pivot Grid

You can now export the PivotGrid’s content to Excel and perform OLAP filtering. The new Totals Calculations feature will allow your users to compute for each cell the percentage of the GrandTotal, the difference from its previous or next one, its weighted average, etc.

Grid

RadGrid ships valuable features, such as:

  • Batch editing
  • Conditional load mode for hierarchical grids
  • Ability to set header, footer and page numbers for the exported PDF file
  • AutoCompleteBox column which renders AutoComplete in edit mode and in the filtering item
  • Built-in “Expand/Collapse All” buttons for grouping and hierarchy

ImageEditor

An enhancement to RadImageEditor’s drawing capabilities now allows users to resize and move the figures they draw. The updated UI of the default toolbar now allows you to fit more built-in tools in a more user friendly manner.

Input

Users can now resize multiline inputs horizontally, vertically or in both directions. The new client-side ValueChanged event of the InputManager helps you check if the input content has been altered, while the new Invalid property allows you to change the input appearance, when the content doesn’t pass the validation.

Performance

This Q the product team spent 20% of its work time on fixing bugs in our major controls. The results are:

  • The Editor’s Insert List, Indent/Outdent and Align commands are fully revamped to perform better and more consistently across browsers.
  • The Grid’s and Scheduler’s bug backlogs are now almost empty.

Accessibility

In order to improve the level of accessibility our controls pass we introduced a lot of enhancements in our AutoCompleteBox, ComboBox, Dock, FileExplorer, ListBox, SearchBox and TreeView controls.

Mobile support

This Q we continued our effort for enhancing the look and behavior of our controls under mobile browsers and devices, especially IE10.
