Hi,

I need to upgrade the RadControls to Q1 2009 version. Our company's website is DNN based.
Right now we have a DNN module that uses RadScheduler which references an older version of the RadControl dlls.
I have been reading on how to upgrade to Q1 2009. I plan on doing the following. Correct me if I'm wrong.

(Backup everything first)
1. Replace the old dlls with new ones in the bin folder.
2. Copy Telerik.Web.Design.dll into the GAC of our web server manually using GacUtil, and remove the old one if it's there.

That's it, right. Appreciate your help.

Hello Zhe,

Yes, you are on the right track. You can also delete the DesktopModules/Telerik.SkinObjects folder and Copy Telerik.Web.Design.dll to the bin instead of the GAC. The GAC appraoch would also work.

Then you can install the skin objects again following this help topic:

Let us know if you experience any problems with this.

Hi, Peter:

Thanks for your reply.
Are you saying that all I need to do is to copy the 3 files (Telerik.Web.Design.dll, Telerik.Web.UI.dll, Telerik.Web.UI.xml) from the \bin35 folder from the downloaded zip file into the \bin folder on my production server, and replace the 3 old files, and I will be done?
I actually did this, and it gave me that big ugly error message about not finding the old version of assembly.
What am I missing?
