Is there a way to add a Toolbar as a commandmenu item in the Grid?

Yup.

See this online demo for a place to start.

There are, as I've discovered recently, a few gotchas that go along with doing this, but they depend on what it is that you're going to do. I think you can use it straight out of the box if you're going to use the toolbar for Insert/Delete type operations.

Post here is you're looking to do something else and I'll detail some of the issues I found.
