Can anyone please let me know how to do JSON schema validation while API testing in Telerik Test Studio? (I have a given schema)

I am attempting to create common tests in the API suite so that I can reuse said tests in multiple scenarios.  I would like to keep all tests within the same project therefore I am looking to "copy/paste" a centralized test so that I only need to make changes/updates to a single location instead of each individual test.

For example, I want to create a single "Authentication" step and reuse it for all API testing.  Be able to update just the one location for the test and it be reflected for each location that the "Authentication" step is located.  Currently it does not allow me to place a test within another test.  Am I going about this in the wrong way?

Array/Dictionary as Variable.  So if we need to run a step say 10 times, it will records the 10 outputs in the array.  Right now we’d have to hardcode variable names.

Ability to add a profile variable.  For each profile it has different values.  Then have a step to be able to switch profiles.

This would allow us to much easier change users instead of having the following variables as a simple example:

user1_username

user1_password

user2_username

user2_password

 

On crash, provide option to not save and reload similar to the save and reload.  (very minor wish but was a pain when I kept crashing the app)

Single Click instead of Double Click to navigate the test steps. 

Single clicking right now selects the step, but the right pane does not update to show the step.  So I edit the step thinking it was the one I clicked on.

Too easy to edit the wrong test step.

What is the status of  Test Studio for API licensing? Is will be selling as part of Telerik studio or Telerik API project is dying slowly and has no future? We have quite a few API test written and wondering maybe its time to switch to  Postman  as its $8-18 per month. 

 

Also, I have an issues to start Telerik API after upgrade as licensing  gives authorization error and shut downs
