Hello,
My company purchased the new "Telerik RadControls Q2 2008" package.  I am following the instructions from the Telerik website, but on the page:
http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/installaddingtovstoolboxnet2.html

...it refers to the DLL, "Telerik.Web.UI.dll" in the bin folder of the installed package (c:\Program Files\Telerik\RadControls for ASPNET Q2 2008\bin).  However, I don't have a "bin" folder after I installed this package.
I checked the Trial versions, and it appears to be in there, but not my "Dev" version.  Am I missing a step in the instructions??

My ...\Telerik\RadControl for ASP.NET Q2 2008 folder has the following folders only:
\DeploymentActions
\Help
\NET1
\NET2

Please let me know where I can get the \Bin folder, and how to locate the "Telerik.Web.UI.dll" file.  Thanks!!

Hello Peter,

There is a little misunderstanding here - you have downloaded RadControls for ASP.NET, but you are reading the documentation for RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX.

Please refer to the help articles at the bottom of this page, which are for RadControls for ASP.NET:

http://www.telerik.com/support/documentation.aspx

To be more specific, the bin folder that you are looking for is inside the NET1 and NET2 folders and contains different assemblies, depending on the .NET version that you will be using.

Let us know if you need more information.

Sincerely yours,

Hi, thank you for your quick reply.

Can you tell me what the difference between the 2 packages are?
There is RadAjax in "RadControls for ASP.NET", so how does this differ from "RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX"?

I want to know in case there are features found in one that are not in the other, which may affect our future purchases.
Thanks!

Hi Peter Yan,

I recommend you to read the following page with FAQ about RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX :

http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/faq.aspx

In short, it is highly recommended to use the new RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX. It will be difficult to summarize and compare the features of the two suites, but I can assure you that the ASP.NET AJAX suite has a lot more features and a lot more optimizations included than the classic RadControls for ASP.NET. Actually we have already focused on the new suite and do not develop features for the old suite any more, we only support it and fix bugs.

Let us know if you need more specific information about a given control.
