I am developing custom web parts using Smart Part in which has AJAX capability. All I need to create in my web part is the ascx user control and i put into a usercontrols folder and i can run it as a web part in WSS.
FYI, I am running on WSS3 only. The web parts will have updatepanel component. however, i have problem when it is telerik i am using as telerik assembly files are not in there. Will need help on how I can run Telerik with my web parts as smart part. And what are the Telerik products I need to accomplish this. I would like to use Telerik Reporting as one of my custom web parts as well.
Need this for my project. If possible, guides on how to get this working. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you examine the Integrating RadControls in MOSS chapter from the online documentation to understand how to integrate our controls under Sharepoint environment:

Hi Stephen,
Can I say that if I get this product package "RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX + WinForms + Telerik Reporting" I will be able to do what I mentioned? Coz I am a bit confused with the many products in the Products section.

All RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX easily integrate into MOSS and WSS, and you are welcome to refer to our Integration guide at: http://www.telerik.com/products/sharepoint/integration-guide.aspx. Please note that the RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX ships with a special wrapper for MOSS.
To aid customers in the evaluation process, we offer fully functional trials that work without license keys and do not expire. The only difference between the evaluation copy and the developer build is that the former displays random trial messages. Please feel free to download a trial of the ASP.NET AJAX controls from here: http://www.telerik.com/client.net/login-pages/client.net-login/b30t-t.aspx. You will just need to register a Client.Net account first.
The "RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX + WinForms + Telerik Reporting Developer License with Subscription and Source Code" will entitle you to free version updates and Gold support on all Telerik product lines for 1 year. In addition, you will be granted access to the full C# and JavaScript source code.
