I am trying to replicate the functionality in the sample...http://www.telerik.com/DEMOS/ASPNET/Prometheus/Splitter/Examples/SP_SlideDirection/DefaultCS.aspx

But I cannot see the slidingpane's content unless the slidingpane is open.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Johnnie,

I am not quite sure if I understand the problem correctly but at this point I can assume that the SlidingPane doesn't slide because of the used DOCTYPE declaration - please, make sure that it is the following one:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

In addition, can you please clarify what exactly do you mean by " But I cannot see the slidingpane's content unless the slidingpane is open"?

If you still experience problems, it will be best if you open a new support ticket and send us a simple, running application which demonstrates the issue.

Sincerely yours,

Thanks, the doctype worked.  Sorry for the mis-use of terms
but
"But I cannot see the slidingpane's content unless the slidingpane is open"
should have been
I cannot see the Slidingpane's content unless the parent slidingzone and/or parent panel were open.

Thanks again.
