Sort Template

hello,
i have a template column in the grid which has a Label it it.

i am adding text on this label in ItemDataBound event on the basis of id geeting from that row.

and now i want to sort this column how can i do it.
i have tried SortExpression which get the field but i am not binding that field therefore it gives me error 'cannot find column Rating'.

Hello altaf,

You can sort only by fields in the grid data source. Possible solution is to create calculated column and you can use also custom sorting (second grid).
