Dear Sir,

I have installed both of asp.net control suites.
I feel confused  with  following questions..

Prometheus version:
1. All skins are embeded in DLL?  Therefore, we don't need to deploy any skin or radcontrol folders??  If No, how do I know when I need to deploy these??

2. There is no more a folder is called "RadControl"....The folder is replaced by "Skins"??  Any rule or usage that can be provided??

3. In control, there is no more a property is called "RadControlDir".  Then, how do I set a control to use a skin in other location??

RadControl for asp.net version:

1. In this version, only default skin is been embeded to DLL, right?  Therefore, if I use others than default skin, I need to deploy radcontrol folder to server??

Thank you~

Hello Jason,

I suggest you take a look at the RadControls 'Prometheus' for ASP.NET documentation for details on your first 3 questions. In particular, please refer to section RadControls 'Prometheus' Fundamentals --> Controlling Visual Appearance.

As on your question about RadControls Classic for ASP.NET, the answer is YES. Only the Default skin is embedded, so if you want to use any other skin you will have to deploy RadControls folder to the server.

Best wishes,

I have deployed a test application with only calendar and date picker. I cannot see the images and looks like my scripts arent working. (I cannot see any effects on calendar by clicking and hovering my mouse).

Any clue, on what extra do I need to do. I have copied the dll to the bin folder of my application which is hosted NOT using IIS.

Thanks

Hi Jaydeep,

Please check out the following links:

Also, make sure you are familiar with the "Installation and Deployment" section of the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX documentation:

http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/introduction.html

In case none of the above helps you, please provide some more information about your scenario and problems, for example:

+ What are the URL's of the images, that are not working?
+ Are the script files registered on the page? Do you receive any Javascript errors? What they say?
+ What is the software configuration of your web server (OS version, web server type, etc)

Sincerely yours,
