Hi,

I want to use radgrid grouping in a way that grouping is not displayed in the rad grid but i want to show the grouping information (eg. group name and group count)  in a seperate rad panel bar control. Each panel bar item would show one group item with group count in brackets. When I click on the rad panel bar item  filtering is performed on the grid and panel bar items are updated as well. I am not sure if this can be done easily with rad grid groupby expression. Please Advise.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Regards,

Sayyed

Hello Sayeed,

Basically, you can hide the group headers, and include their information in the panelbar items. However, filtering the subgroups however, is hard to accomplish. Therefore, you can simply re-query the underlying database, to calculate the necessary information, and add it to the panel bar control.
