show tooltip on demand

Hi,
i create a grid containing a image programmatically. I assign an ID to the image and do an async-request when hovering over it with the mouse.

what I want is to show a tooltip(with dynamic text-content i want to set) on async request and to position it right next to the image.
i know this is doable....after digging through the documentation..
 but after playing a couple of hours with it without getting exactly what i want .. please help me along.
