(I'm fairly certain this applies to RadPrompt and RadConfirm too but I haven't tested it.)

Config - VS 2008 Express, Prometheus 3Q 2007.  RadWindowManager control sits on a master page, RadAlert is invoked from a content page.

Here are my questions/issues.

1. On IE7, the alert appears at 0,0 instead of centered.  On Firefox 2, it is centered correctly.  Is this a known problem?

2. If RadAlert/RadConfirm/RadPrompt are designed as replacements for their Javascript equivalents, why aren't they movable (on either browser)?  I set the Behavior property of the RadWindowManager to Move, but it didn't make a difference.

Thanks.

Hello Bill,

I made a simple project which includes a MasterPage with RadWindowManager on it and a ContentPage form which the radalert dialog is called. I tested it under IE7 and the message is centered correctly as you can see from the attached screenshot.

Would you please open a new support ticket and send us a sample project which demonstrates the positioning problem?

As to your second question, yes, radalert cannot be moved. In case you need such functionality could you please tell more about your scenario and we will do our best to give you a proper advice.

Kind regards,

Thanks for looking into it – the centering aspect of it was a relatively minor issue for me – I was more concerned with not being able to move the alert.

I’m thinking of using a RadToolTip for this purpose instead.  It's not so much that people will WANT to move the alert, but that they will EXPECT to and can't; with a tooltip there's no such expectation.

So I’m OK for now – if I have to do it again I’ll post a separate message with a detailed example.

Hi Team,

Is there any recent updated to RadAlerts which make it movable?
I am using VS 2010 and .Net 3.5 and am using the RadAlert for .net 3.5.

Can you please let me know if there have been any updates to make RadAlert movable or is it there any plans in any future releases?

Thank you.

Hello Balasubramanian,

This feature has been introduced in Q3 2010 and is available in the latest releases as well.
