Hello Nyceane,
Unfortunately, you cannot scan an image directly into the RadUpload control. This is because the javascript/html rendered to your browser cannot communicate with the hardware on your machine. Browsers are designed this way due to the high security risk to your system if this were possible. I have seen some sites do what you are asking, but they require a plugin to get this kind of functionality.
