Hi

I'm busy building a project where I've added the RadMenu into my master page, I populate the menu items with a datatable.
I need the user to be able to open the menu items including the root items in a new tab / window when right clicking on the menu items (as if right clicking on a hyperlink).
This option only seems to be available when you set the ImageUrl property in the individual menu items. Is there a way around this or do I have to use hyperlinks as item templates?

Regards
Erika

Hi Erika,

Unfortunately this is a bug in IE7/8 which happens when an HTML link contains a block element. In IE7 it is avoidable by setting the blocks with float: none (this may break the menu rendering), but in IE8 there is currently no fix for this problem (of course you can use IE7 compatibility mode). If your skin is simple, you can use templates and avoid using block elements in the links.

Hi Priya,

The issue in RadPanelBar and IE7 was fixed. However the same issue in IE8 can't be fixed currently. You can however open the link by using Shift+click to open it in new window and Ctrl+click or middle mouse button to open it in new tab.

Kind regards,
