In Excel, one can simply right-click the tab and select to hide or unhide it.

Currently, it is possible to hide rows and columns by right-clicking on their respective headers:
The functionality to hide sheets is still not available and my advice is to vote for the dedicated item at https://feedback.telerik.com/kendo-jquery-ui/1359605-spreadsheet-hide-columns-and-row-numbers-hide-sheets-hide-formula-input. This way you will raise the priority of the item in the backlog and the chance to get implemented sooner.
