RadProgressArea support in MOSS 2007

Has anyone gotten the RadProgressArea working with MOSS 2007?  I've gotten the web.config file setup as per directions and it works outside of MOSS, but inside MOSS the handler always returns:
var rawProgressData = {InProgress:false,ProgressCounters:false};
