RadHTMLChart - Questions

Hi,

We have implemented the RadHTMLChart and have a few questions:
1. Is it possible to set the font size of the chart Title?
2. Is it possible to set the font style to bold for the chart Title?
3. On the pie chart - is it possible to show the values inside the segments of the chart instead of outside (as it is possible to do in the bar charts)

Hello Matt,

I am sorry to say that for the time being neither of these options are available. We do plan to add more visual customization options to the control, like we did for the Q3 2012 release with the labels, but I cannot provide an estimate on this.

i am using radhtml line chart 
its works fine but my data is large approx 60 rows
so its not showing perfectly 
how can i get x-axis scroll in that

Hi Asutosh,

You can zoom and scroll only data over time in RadHtmlChart through the Data Navigation functionality. More information on the matter is available in the Zoom and Scroll Data Over Time with RadHtmlChart for ASP.NET AJAX blog post.

The problem is we dont have numeric or date data on x axis we have names on x axis. can we scroll non numeric values also ?

I am sorry to say that the desired functionality is not supported by the RadHtmlChart control. Such a feature request, however, has already been logged here, so that you can monitor, comment and vote on it.

Hi,

Is  there any limitation on Telerik chart contorls (KendoUI Chart or RadHtmlChart ) , for displaying number of records ?
I am trying to display 40,000 records at once, but the browser hangs up while  creating the  chart for that.

I saw that forum ,it talks about RadHtml Chart , is the same apply for Kendo Chart components ,if yes.
Is there other way the we can implement the same without compromising for response time .

Hi Jitendra,

There is no limitation regarding the maximum number of data points that can be plotted in RadHtmlChar  (the same applies to the Kedno UI chart as RadHtmlChar is a server-side wrapper of the same widget). However, due to certain limitations in JavaScript, displaying more than 10 000 points might result in slower performance. There are certain ways to handle this case, so you can have a look at the following help article.

Hi Stamo,

I have reduce the data points to some limit upto 10,000 , and  when I am using RadHtmlChart control the response time is 12-14 sec , but when I am going with Kendo UI ,it is still taking very long time  almost  80 sec , which doesn't fit our requirement , is it possible to use  the RadHtmlChart  contorl for plotting graph in MVC project type ?  if yes , any short example will be very helpful .
