Hello everyone,

I've used most of RadControls, and I really like it. Its easy and have too many features to use.
One of the greatest RadControls is the Grid, I used it in around 3 projects and everyone likes it.

The problem that I'm facing with RadGrid is:
I used to develop using GridView, I know how to use/ access its templates, header, footer pager... etc.
I can do anything using it, but with RadGrid its abit hard to. I tried to read every & any document that I find regarding that great control but till now I dont even have a clear idea about it.

I'd really appreciate it If anyone have the knowledge in how to use the RadGrid and would like to spare some time to write tutorials and description in how to use.

Please note that I'm not using SqlDataSource Control, I'm using the Server-Side data binding method.

Hello Abdulla,

RadGrid supports AdvancedDataBinding Techniques which is an advanced feature when compared to GridView. The AdvancedDataBinding Technique uses the NeedDataSource event of the grid which is triggered, each time the grid needs to be bound to a data source. Take a look at the following demo to understand better AdvancedDataBinding:
Advanced Data Binding

Also refer to the following document to find out how access the header, data or footer rows/cells in the grid:
Accessing cells and rows

To perform basic operations like Insert/Update/Delete within the grid, check out the following document :
Insert/Update/Delete at database level with queries
You can also refer to the following code library submission on performing various operations using AutoGeneratedEditForm:
Manual Insert/Update/Delete operations using Auto-generated editform

Thanks
Princy.
