I've follwed the instructions in the CHM for installing the RadEditor lite into our MOSS 2007 farm. I'm working as a domain admin directly on the front end web server. The solution installs fine. But when I deploy it to a site the feature does not show up to activate.

Here's what solution management says after I deploy to a site.

------------------------

Name: radeditormoss.wsp
Type: Core Solution
Contains Web Application Resource: Yes
Contains Global Assembly: Yes
Contains Code Access Security Policy: No
Deployment Server Type: Front-end Web server
Deployment Status: Not Deployed
Deployed To: None
Last Operation Result: The solution was successfully deployed.
Last Operation Details: SPS-WEB01 : https://anc-foo.uaa.alaska.edu/ : The solution was successfully deployed.
Last Operation Time: 3/5/2009 2:28 PM

------------------------

I'm looking for suggestions for further troubleshooting. Dependency missing? What are some files and folders to look at CONTROLTEMPLATES, FEATURES?

Hi Jim,

I think the RadEditorMOSS solution should be deployed globally and not to a single site. Try retracting it and then deploying to all sites.

The only dependency we have is that you install the ASP.NET AJAX Extensions 1.0 or the .NET Framework 3.5 prior to installing the editor, because it needs the System.Web.Extensions assembly to be in the server's GAC.

Once the solution is deployed properly, you should have two new folders in the FEATURES folder - RadEditorFeatureRichHtml and RadEditorFeatureRichText. Also, the CONTROLTEMPLATES folder should contain two new controls - TelerikRadEditorHtml.ascx and TelerikRadEditorText.ascx, which override the default SharePoint rendering templates when you activate one or both of the features.

All the best,

That's very helpful information. I will explore that and post results. Thank you _very much_ for the response.
