When entering text into the RadEditor, it doesn't render the text using my site's stylesheet until such time as the content is saved (even in "preview" mode).

For example, if i use the editor to create a bulleted list which has a custom bullet imagbe defined in my site/page's CSS, it displays with the default black bullet until usch time as i save the content / exit "edit" mode.

The same problem exists for font styles, link styles etc.

Could you please tell me if there is a way to get the RadEditor window to use my site's CSS by default?

Hi Nick,

Yes, you can very easily import your styles by setting the CssFiles property of RadEditor to point to your site css  files. You can find more information in this article: Setting Content Area Defaults.

Two follow-up questions:

  • How do i set the CssFiles property for the RadEditor which is being displayed by default for all the publishing fields in my MOSS site?

I.e. I haven't dropped an explicit instance of the RadEditor on a page layout, instead i've activated the Telerik site features to force the RadEditor to display on all publuishing and HTML list items fields.

  • Is there no way to get the editor to just use the CSS file that is being used to render the current page?

Thanks...
