Hi

I have pressed "find and replace" button on the editor toolbar and selected "Match whole words", when i click the find button it still searches for part of words. This has happened in Mozzila Firefox, Safari and Chrome (not IE). Maybe on other browsers as well.
It's not urgent :) it would just be nice to have it working well sometimes.

Regards,
Teo

Hi Teo,

I think this function is simply not implemented in Mozilla. I found the following bug report in the Bugzilla database: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9550. Reading the comments there it seems that the "Match Whole Words" feature of the find function does not work. The same is probably true for the Webkit based browsers (Safari, Chrome), since the window.find() feature is not part of any standard.

Internet Explorer uses a different approach for the find/replace functions, which supports the whole words search. This is why your test worked there.
