We have an issue with RAD Editor version 5.7.1.0, IE7 and a Sharepoint WSS 3.0 site (where we also use the RAD menu). In edit mode the editor does not work (i.e. Image manager, table wizard among others does not work) and the menu styles look strange. If I remove the editor the page and menu works ok in edit mode. IE8 does not have these problems at all. But since we have IE7 as standard at the company, we have a little bit of a problem.

Hi Peter Bohn,

Could you provide me with the web.config file of your MOSS site and the configuration files of RadEditor for MOSS (ConfigFile.xml, ListConfigFile.xml, ToolsFile.xml, ListToolsFile.xml, MOSSEditorTools.js - Set Properties Via Config File)? I will review them,  try to reproduce the problem on our test server and advice you further.

Hello Peter Bohn,

First make sure that you have the following SafeControl element in the web.config:
<SafeControl Assembly="System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" Namespace="System.Web.UI" TypeName="*" Safe="True" />

Second since you are using WSS 3.0 you need to remove all the tools, which start with MOSS in the respective ToolsFile.xml or ListToolsFile.xml files. Review the following online help article: Installing RadEditor in a WSS v3 environment.

All the best,
