[Solved] RadControls is not shown in VS2005 toolbox

Why?
There is ok in VS2008. I try to peform "Register RadControls for ASPNET AJAX Q1 2009 items in the Visual Studio toolbox". No results.

Hello Garald,

Generally, you should be prompted during the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX installation whether you would like to add automatically our controls to the VS 2008 toolbox. In case you cancelled the action, you still can add the components manually following the steps from this help topic:

My IDEs (VS2005, VS2008, VWD2005, VWD2008) and Telerik are installed on drive D. Is it important?

Hello Garald,

To add Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX to the Toolbox manually and to be able to easily deploy the component in your WebForms in Design mode, follow the steps below:

1. Open your application in Visual Studio 2005.
2. Expand the Toolbox.

3. Expand the General Section.

4. Right-click in the General section and open Choose Items.

5. On the .NET Framework Components tab, click Browse.

6. Browse to the Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX installation folder, open the bin folder and select the Telerik.Web.UI.dll. 

   • If the EXE was used to install Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET, the bin folder is located in
     C:\Program Files\Telerik\RadControls for ASPNET AJAX Q[X] YYYY\Bin
     

   • If the ZIP was used to install Telerik RadControls, the bin folder is located in the folder where the installation files have been unzipped

7. Click Open to confirm. The icons for all controls in the suite will appear in the Toolbox.
