Hello,

If I understand you correctly, you want to change the ToolTipField property depending on the hierarchy level of the node. This is definitely possible by using DataBindings property. For example:

    
             <telerik:RadTreeView 
        
               ID="RadTreeView1" 
        
               runat="server" 
        
               DataSourceID="DataSource1" 
        
               DataFieldID="ItemID" DataFieldParentID="ParentID"> 
        
               <DataBindings> 
        
                   <telerik:RadTreeNodeBinding TextField="Name" ValueField="ItemID" /> 
        
                   <telerik:RadTreeNodeBinding Depth="0" ToolTipField="ToolTipA" /> 
        
                   <telerik:RadTreeNodeBinding Depth="1" ToolTipField="ToolTipB" /> 
        
               </DataBindings> 
        
            </telerik:RadTreeView>
