Hello,

i have downloaded the Trial of the full features RAD-Editor.

Then i have installed it in aWSS 3.0 site.

The WebPart workes fine, but i cannot replace the default-editor with your one, even when i follow the instructions described in your chm-help-file.

The difference to your help-file is, that we have the ows.js in the following path:

C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\60\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1031

What could be the problem?

Klaus

Hi Klaus,

Please review the following help article that describes how to use the RadEditor in WebParts:

http://www.telerik.com/help/radeditormoss/?Using%20the%20RadEditor%20WebPart.html

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Hello George,

thank you for your reply. I have read the articel and followed the description.

The RADEditor workes in WebParts on my WSS-Site. But that is not exacly my problem.

We use in that site also the new wiki and blog site-types and we want to replace the existing editor in this sites with the telerik-editor.

The procedure is exactly described in the chm-helpfile that came up with the editor; but unfortunately this description does not work for me.

Do you have any further help?

Thanks
Klaus

Hi Klaus,

I can see that you have downloaded the RadEditorSPS_3_0_5.zip  which is designed to work with Sharepoint server 2003. Please, use the RadEditor for MOSS(WSS 3.0) -  you can download it within your Client.net account in the My Licenses --> My Free Trials --> All Individual Controls ... --> RadEditor --> Downloads section.

In RadEditor for MOSS(WSS 3.0) the Wiki content and Blogs are covered by the ListEditorHere you can review how to use RadEditor in List Items. Note that, when you activate the editor it will be available only for the current site. If you want, you can change the editor's Feature scope so that, to be activated for a Site collection.

Kind regards,
George

Hello George,

thank you for the answer.

I do not have a link "All Individual Controls" in Home -Client.net -My Licenses -My Free Trials .

I have the sections:

- RAD-Controls for ASP.NET Ajax
- RAD-Controls for WinForms
- telerik Reporting
- RAD-Editor for Sharepoint
- RAD-Controls for MCMS
- RAD-Editor for MCMS

Where can i find the correct download-link?

Hi Klaus,

Please excuse us for the temporary inconvenience - I spoke with our Web Team and they added the needed dropdowns to the Free Trials section (RadControls for ASP.NET --> RadEditor_MOSS_4_5_2_trial.zip )

Kind regards,

Hi George,

ok, that did work. Now i have got the link and could download the file RadEditor_MOSS_4_5_2_trial.zip.

I followed the instruction in the chm-file and installed the RadEditorMOSS.wsp in my wss-v3-server.

But on the deploy-page i get an error. When i deploy the RadEditorMOSS.wsp the webpage workes about 5 minutes and after that i get the error-message "file not found" (in german language).

Do you know, what is wrong?

Klaus
