Moving from VB to .NET was using Far point Spread.
One critical feature for my app is ability to copy and paste between Excel and the grid and import of Excel files into the grid ideally including mutlitple worksheets.
I am willing to write some code for all this. But is it possible at all.

Thank you for the question.
Currently, RadGridView does not support built-in import from Excel. You could see an implementation of Exporting to Excel in our Examples application, which is included in our product.
Nevertheless, you could implement any custom scenario of copying, pasting, import and export using RadGridView in unbound mode. However, you should keep in mind that, in this case you will have to implement custom logic on your own.
