Help. I have the grid showing a master/detail via EntityDataSources just fine. And I see all the columns from the master table but cannot see any columns for the detail table. I can add bound columns manually but I don't want to type all that markup.

How can I have the property editor show me all the selected columns automatically so I can edit thema s to their headers, visibility etc. without have to add each column manuallay tot he markup?

VS2010 using the trial version published a few months ago.

Does this work for anyone else where you can select the columns from a list that is already populated? The hierarchy works fine but the designer only shows all the columns for the master table and not the details table. - Dave

I guess you have to buy first to get support as trial support is thin to non-existent. Fortunately the company I am contracting for is buying the controls...

Hello Dave,

The RadGrid designers work the same way with the trial or the dev version. So the issue you are experiencing is not due to the fact that you are using trial dlls.

Furthermore, the feature for the automatic generation of columns at runtime is provided only for the MasterTableView. For the DetailTables you should add the columns manually. This can be done in the markup or in the designer editor.

Additionally, I will forward this to our developers so they consider implementing such functionality.

Kind regards,
