We are currently testing out out product in different OS enviroments and ran into a problem with the rad upload meter.  For some reason in a Mac 10.3.9 and above, the upload meter does not show in safari nor firefox.  Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what resolution have you come up with to correct this minor problem.

Thanks
Joshua

Hello Joshua,

Thank you for your feedback.

The problem concerning RadProgressArea not working in Safari in MAC is a known issue which is due to Safari browser. The issue is currently in process of investigation and will probably be fixed for one of the next updates of the control. Regarding the problem with progress area in FireFox, it has already been fixed and the fix will be available in Q1 2008 SP1 which is scheduled for the middle of May.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have other questions.

Kind regards,
Sophy

Hi guys,

There is still no update to the issue concerning RadProgressArea not working in Safari on MAC.
The fix addressing the problem with RadUpload's progress area in FireFox on MAC will be available in Q1 2008 SP1 which is scheduled for the end of the next week.

All the best,

Hi,

We have already install the latest version of RadControl for AJAX (515) but we still encounter this issue.

In order to reproduce our bug please go through the following instructions:
1. browse our site at: www.girlsteachguys.com
2. Sign up (it is free). please note that you have to complete the  registration phase via e-mail confirmation.
3. Login to our site.
4. Choose the 'Upload video' option (upper left image button).
5. You will find the RadUpload control (the 'select' button).

The above description works fine for Windows OS with FireFox and IE.
Our client claimed that she use FireFox on MAC OS and when she push the 'Select' button (which mentioned at the 5th instruction) nothing happen.

For more details you can reach me by Email at 'yossi@sno-control.com' ethier by my cell phone +972545254490' at any hour.
This issue is very critical for our company.

Please advice,
Yossi

Hi Itay,

I just replied to your support ticket. Here is my reply:

We just checked your site. The problem is caused by the different CSS parsing mechanism of the different browsers running in different operating systems. To my regret, right now we cannot propose a way to fix this and still have the other browsers work fine. You can disable the RadUpload file input skinning by setting the EnableFileInputSkinning property to false.

FYI, we are working on a new model for the file input skinning for the next official release of RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax.
