So I have projects that are still being built on 3.5. But I want to start my new projects on 4.0. I went and created a new tab called RadControls4.0, browsed to the latest 2011.xx 4.0 dll and added it. Much to my disappointment it nuked all my Radcontrol3.5 items and the tab as well! Is it not possible to have both dlls in the toolbox in their own respective tabs?

Hello Mac,

The .NET framework does not allow you to use two different versions for the same assembly in a single web-application. Because, the assembly names are the same, so there is no way to keep them both in the same folder; the namespaces are the same, which in turn does not allow you to use different assemblies on the same page or project.

Take a look at the following forum which also discussed the same.
Mixing versions.

Thanks,
Shinu.
