Hi There,

I am using telerik:RadEditor. In this if i will copy and paste the table structure to my editor notes, i am able to do this. But when i am trying to copy an image and paste it in editor notes, i am unable to paste it. Let me know that whether it is possible to paste an image(.jpeg) in editor notes or not?

Hi Vimal,

RadEditor is a web based ASP.NET control but not a desktop program such as MS Word, in which you can paste directly images from different locations and they will be embedded and saved in the document.

However, if you paste image file into a Web WYSIWYG editor from an external location such as your local hard drive or the clipboards, there is no way to automatically upload the image file to the server and therefore making this image accessible via the web and HTTP protocol. To insert an image, you should firstly upload it to the web server, using for example the upload functionality of RadEditor's image manager.

The automatic file upload to the server is not possible with Javascript code, because Javascript engine cannot access the local file system due to the security restrictions of the browser.

Sincerely,
Rumen

Has there been a recent update/fix to allow image pasting from MSWord or other programs?

Hello Hazem,

The requested feature was introduced in the new Firefox 4, which offers the ability to paste images from Word or local drive and storing their data in the <img> tag itself. You can test RadEditor in FF4 to see the new functionality. Currently this feature is provided by Firefox 4 only.
