We are in the process of upgrading all our Q2 2006 controls to Verson 1.4 Q1 2009 ASP.NET Ajax.
During the process we hit with Migrating the Tab Strip control.
Our controls previously were using the Overalpping feature that were available in the old release (-ve margins).
Unfortunately due to the change of the base style sheets of the Tab, this old technique is no longer available.
We checked the documentation, and it mentioned a css class for the Tabs that are before and after the current selected tab.

Well that seems fine!. But what about all other tabs, Previously your tab strip supported overlapping for all its tabs because it used relative positioning, now only overlapping are supported for the before and after (rtsBefore, rtsAfter classes).

Is there a solution for this ?

Hello Ahmed,

We changed the skinning model of the Tabstrip because of the relative positioning, which triggered a nasty IE6/7 bug.

Overlapping tabs are supported, as seen in our current skins. The best way to achieve this effect would be to copy an existing skin and replace parts of it until you re-create your custom skin, instead of porting it from the old version.

Best wishes,
