We are creating student scheduling application.

I have 3 questions:

1. I want to display each teacher in the individual column (i.e. Instead of the date being displayed in the vertical column I want to disaplay each teacher)?

2. How can I control the order of teachers in the columns. What is the default order of display?

3. I want to display custom information that could also be configured in the appnt box that is visible to user without the mouse over or tooltip? (i.e. Student name, pickup location and appointment duration).

Hi Anatolij,

1. Please, set Grouping direction to horizontal in this example:
http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/scheduler/examples/timelineview/defaultcs.aspx. I believe this is what you need.

2. This is not possible. Resources are ordered the way they come from the provider and you don't have control over this.

3. Please, use templates along with custom attributes for this purpose.

Kind regards,

Hi Peter

thanx for quick response.

Regarding my question #1:

I was thinking more in line with grouped resource view and how it is displayed, instead of displaying gropued resource I want to display individual resoure as a column. The sample suggestion u provided would not be acceptable.
http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/scheduler/examples/resourcegrouping/defaultcs.aspx

Regarding Question 2:

We havea some custom fields that we use in our db when scheduling (i.e. various check boxes, drop downs, ...) Just wanted to make sure we r not imited to some pre set of avaiable fields.

Hi Anatolij,

If I understand you corectly, then you could use a select paremeter for your resource data source. Attached is a simple demo.
