Hi,
I just upgraded to latest version (q3 2008 sp1) and the modal window i have in my app doesn't get semi transparent background any longer. It shows small grayish fields but not all over the background that it did in the q2 version.
In IE this works fine , the problem is just in Firefox.
I saw that there was some kind of fix on this matter in this release might be that fix that is causing Firefox to "fail" the background.
So my question is , can this be fixed or should I downgrade?
BR

Hi Andreas,
Did you observe such issue in our online examples? We certainly haven't done such changes recently. Is it possible that you prepare and send us a small running project along with your layout and CSS files, as we were unable to reproduce the problem on our side.
Also, please, specify wichi version of FireFox are you using, etc.
Best wishes,

I use verision 3.0.4 of Firefox and i get the same problem on the online demos at your site.
I use a custom skin based on the gray skin.from q2 release
when i upgraded i just switch the dll should i make a reinstall?
these are qutes from the release history of q3 sp1, the bold part says you did make some changes to the semitransparent background.
"RadWindow
What’s Fixed
- When using radopen to create a window, the new window did not detect correctly the direction of the FORM/BODY/HTML (in case it is set to 'rtl'). This is now fixed.
- In the modal extender - In IE a semi-transparent overlay causes about 5MB of memory increase (IE obviously loads external code to process transparency). So, to reduce memory used, instead of simply hiding it the "modal background" element is removed from the DOM when a modal window is closed. "

Hello Andreas,
I doubleckecked our online examples with Mozilla FireFox 3.0.4, but again, I was unable to reproduce the issue you have described - please, find attached a screenshot of how I see the modal windows of RadWindow.
I our release notes it is put down that there is a change in the logic of the rendering of the modal overlay, not a change in its styling.
Please, if possible, try to isolate the issue in a separate project and send it to us so we are able to help. Also, before doing this, check if your page is in standards compliance mode and remove all your styles, then reload the page to check if the problem still persists.
Kind regards,
