I am setting  <GroupSettings Height="100px"></GroupSettings> to enable scrolling and it' not working. Instead the menu height grows to the height of the screen, no matter what value is set for "Height". I have version 2008.2.804.20

Here's my code:

<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="MenuTest2.aspx.cs" Inherits="MenuTest2" %>
<%@ Register Assembly="Telerik.Web.UI" Namespace="Telerik.Web.UI" TagPrefix="telerik" %>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

<CollapseAnimation Type="OutQuint" Duration="200"></CollapseAnimation>

                   <telerik:RadMenuItem runat="server" Text="Home" OnItemClick="RadMenu1_ItemClick" NavigateUrl="MenuTest.aspx">
 <GroupSettings Height="100px"></GroupSettings>

                           </telerik:RadMenuItem>
                           <telerik:RadMenuItem runat="server" Text="Blah Blah Blah" NavigateUrl="#">
                           </telerik:RadMenuItem>
                           <telerik:RadMenuItem runat="server" Text="Blah Blah Blah Blah" NavigateUrl="#">
                           </telerik:RadMenuItem>
                       </Items>

                   <telerik:RadMenuItem runat="server" Text="Services" NavigateUrl="#">
                   </telerik:RadMenuItem>
                   <telerik:RadMenuItem runat="server" Text="Case Studies" NavigateUrl="#">
                   </telerik:RadMenuItem>
               </Items>
           </telerik:RadMenu>
    </div>
    </form>
</body>
</html>

If I leave out the  <GroupSettings Height="100px"></GroupSettings>, the menu height is the height required to display the items in the menu.

How to I get scrolling to work???

Thanks in advance.

Hi Keith,

I tried your code with the latest version of Telerik.Web.UI (2008.2.1001) and it worked as expected. I don't know of such problem with the previous version either.

Not a reassuring response. If you don't see it, it doesn't exist????

We have 5 developers begining to use your control set in a huge highly visible USG application with over 250k users serving ~ 900 - 1200 pages/minute.

I was hoping for some real assitance with solving an issue, rather than it works for me.

Very disappointed with this level of tech support.

Peter,

Since Telerik did not "deliver more than expected" with your last response, I decided I was on my own to resolve the issue and tried a long shot. Contrary to your statement "...  I don't know of such problem with the previous version either.", there apparently is a glitch.

I upgraded to "2008.2.1001.20" and scrolling works fine.

It also had worked back in July when I did a cursory test with 2008.2.723. I set the test aside while I hosed out other fires. The dev team upgraded to 2008.2.804.20 at some point between then and now and it is that verision that seems to have an issue with scrolling.

Hi Keith,

I am glad to hear that you managed to overcome the problem and please excuse me for not being more explicit with my suggestion to try with the latest version.

Kind regards,
