[Solved] Master Page strange error on build

Using VS2008 placing a RadPanelBar bound to a sqldatasource control
(and only in a master page) I get a error complaining about "can't create connection"
please check your connection string or other related settings during the build process.

The control works fine and retrieves the data from the db no
problem both on the build and in the designer. I don't get this
error with the built in asp.net controls. any ideas?

more testing:

I have tested with a objectdatasource bound to a dataset and
it works fine with no error. So it appears just to be problem
with using the sqldatasource.  I have tested on another machine and can easily re-produce:

1)create a master page drop the radscript manager and the radpanel
and bind it to a sqldatasource in the masterpage.

2)create a new content page and try and build the project.
you will also see errors on the content page related to
the controls on the masterpage. even with all these errors
the end result works fine.

Thanks for the test project. I do get the same errors with your project as well
so it must be related to my installations of VS2008?

Additionally when viewing the default.aspx in your sample project
the RadPanelBar says "there was a error rendering the control"
DataRowView does not contain a property with the name Text.

All the references appear to look good, and still the project builds
and works fine as the errors are just in the designer.

Yes, it is possible that the problem is related to the installation of the Visual Studio. I have attached a screenshot showing configuration of the Visual Studio which we used to test the application.

Also could you tell us if you have a similar problem with any of our controls? For example, RadMenu or RadTreeView?

I have a similiar problem njtech using RadMenu bind to sqldatasource on master page. When view it on other page, I got error about connecting to database.
