Hi,

I have a quick question about the DialogManager control.  Does anyone know of a parameter that will limit the amount of files that are displayed in the file list?  The reason why I ask is that I am working on a site where there is a possibility of thousands of files (in my case images)  being displayed which could take some time to load the names of those files.  What I am wondering is does anyone know of some type of filter that can be applied where I can limit which files are displayed based on attributes of the file or the file name?

Thanks,

Ron

Hi RL,

The FileBrowser editor dialogs do not feature such an option.
On a side note, having thousands of files dumped in a single folder does not seem like a useful approach from the end user point of view. How is the user supposed to get around a thousand files and pick up the one he/she needs in a fast, efficient manner? A much more useful approach would be to have those files organized in subfolders - and if you have that then you will not need to worry about performance, as folders' listings get loaded on demand only if a user "enters" a folder.
