It would be awesome if Kendo could be powered by Zepto instead of jQuery (optional of course) for mobile environments where we might not want to load all of jQuery.

Hello Ian,

 Unfortunately this is not possible considering the current state of Zepto. Kendo UI is using a lot of jQuery features which are not implemented in Zepto e.g. Deferred, $.ajax with various transport options etc.

Time flies and Zepto has more features now.

Hi Luis,

Although Zepto has more features now than four years ago it still doesn't implement everything that Kendo UI uses from jQuery. For example jQuery.Deferred is still not available.
