kendo ui web framework for Windows

I am currently developing Silverlight apps but I am concerned that this is an eventual dead end.  If possible please provide answers to the following questions and any other information you feel is important. 

1.  If I want to develop windows 8 metro apps and Windows Phone apps  will kendo ui web support it.

2.  Does kendo ui web work with Windows 7 client? 

3.  If kendo ui web works with Windows 7 how limited are touch gesters compared to Windows 8 Metro:

4. Please explain difference between Kendo UI web and mobile apps.

5. Will a kendo web app developed for windows 7 work on a ipad?

Hello Rich,

Straight to your questions:

1.  Kendo UI works in Win8 JavaScript applications but there are a few problems caused by the security restrictions applied in that environment. For example the Chart does not work out of the box because setting the innerHTML of an SVG element is not allowed by default in Win8. We will work to resolve all those problems so Kendo UI works without any issues in Win8.
2. We are not sure what do you mean by Windows 7 client. Generally speaking Kendo UI runs in all supported browsers in any OS. If you are referring to Windows Phone 7 - no Kendo UI does not support that. More information on the subject is available in this blog post.   - we have a blog post.
3. I am not quite sure that I understand this question correctly. Could you please elaborate more on it?
4. Kendo UI and Kendo Mobile are two different UI frameworks. Kendo UI widgets work in mobile devices. Kendo Mobile provides widgets with native look and feel.
5. Again - what exactly you refer to by "Windows 7"?
