Hello Telerik Team,

We are using RadEditorSharePoint Ver. 5.3.2.0 in our SharePoint Web application. The issue we are facing is that the "Track" attribute within anchor tag is being removed when we toggle between HTML view and design view. Is there a way to retain all the content pasted within HTML view?. I understand that there are some attributes which are not xhtml standard compliant and thus may strip some of the attributes, but is there a configuration we could modify so that the attribute, "Track" within anchor tag can be retained?

Here's an example:
<a track="Top content" style="color:#000000; text-decoration:none;" href="http://www.telerik.com" target="_blank">

Thanks

Hello Sujith,

This is a MOSS behavior not controlled by RadEditor.

The custom attribute is stripped by SharePoint but not by RadEditor. You can test the Save In Database demo of the regular RadEditor and verify that the custom track attribute is not stripped by the editor. For your convenience I have recorded my test in the following video: http://screencast.com/t/oPOHdOrufjFJ.

Rumen,
Thanks for your reply. But I do not think this is a MOSS related behavior. We have been using the "multiple line of text" with "Rich text format" enabled where the anchor tag used to contain the "Track" attribute. Once we switched over to RADEditor, we have been having this issue. A quick example is if you would provide anchor tag with "Track" attribute within HTML view and switch over to design and switch back to HTML view, the "Track" attribute would have got stripped off.

Please let me know if you have any other findings.

Thanks again,

- Sujith

Hi Sujith,

Can you please upgrade to the latest version 5.8.5 of RadEditor for MOSS? I tested it and verified that the special track attribute is not stripped when switching between HTML and Design mode. Here is a video test: http://screencast.com/t/voRzAk7KYRVm.

The content placed in HTML mode is send without modifications to the MOSS server. As you can see in the video the attribute is existing in HTML mode and it is not stripped when switching between the view modes of RadEditor. It is MOSS server which strips it.

Best regards,
