i am working on sharepoint wss 3.0, would like to explore the idea of replacing the default content editor with the prometheus Content editor, i would like to know if this possible, if so can you direct me to  resource, samples, or white papers or any other forums post which outlines how to achieve this.

Hi Tanuj,

Yes, this is possible. Please, review the following RadEditor for MOSS help articles for more information on the subject
I hope this helps.

Hi Tanuj,

You can download the RadEditor_MOSS_4_5_0_trial.zip from your Client.net account - it is available in the My Licenses\My Free Trials\RadControls for ASP.net (all individual)\Downloads section.

I hope this helps.

Hi Tanuj,

A preview release of RadEditor "Prometheus" for MOSS  will be released soon and it will be available for download within your Client.net account.

Hi Tanuj,

Excuse us for the misunderstanding.

You have the license for RadEditor for MOSS, and the Dev version can be downloaded from the \My Licences\My Purchases\All individual products from RadControls for ASP.net\RadEditor\Downloads\ section.

For your convenience  I attached a screenshot showing the Download section.

Installing RadEditor in a WSS v3 environment

followed all the steps in the above link, also got the message that the radeditormoss.wsp was deployed successfully.

however, when i try to create a basic page, it still loads the default editor instead of the radeditor, i also restarted iis on the machine, but did not affect anything.

please advise if i am missing something here.

Hi Tanuj,

As you have already noticed the replacement of the basic page's editor is not supported out of the box. However, you can manually replace it by opening the basic page in Microsoft Office Sharepoint Designer and adding RadEditor to the page.

I hope this helps.
