Is there anyway with the image manager settings, to have the image manager rename uploaded images with a unique file name, and not ever show folder to users? When do you foresee putting more documentation out about properties and settings for editor in DNN?

Hi David,
The desired functionality is not supported out of the box. If you want to achieve it, you will have to manually implement your custom FileBrowserContentProvided. More information on this topic can be found on the link bellow:
