Hello,
We are using the RadEditor to insert flash in Sharepoint 2007.
Does somebody know how to update the properties of the flash (without the editor's HTML tab visible) after having adding the file via the FlashManager?
Thanks by advance.
Regards.
Didier.

Hi Didier,
Thank you for your feature request.
This feature is currently not supported by RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX, but we are in process of implementing it.
RadEditor Classic offers the ability to click on the already inserted flash / media object and edit its properties when you click on the Media / Flash manager icons. We will implement a similar functionality in RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX and RadEditor for MOSS.
The issue is logged in our PITS system with ID 1778 and everyone could vote for it.
Kind regards,

The problem is that for my customer this issue is not acceptable.
Can you provide me a date for the availability of this behaviour?
Thanks by advance.

Hi Didier,
For the time being I cannot provided a firm estimate when this feature will be implemented. We will try to do it for Q2 but it is not among the high priorities and could be postponed for Q3 2010.
The feature request is logged as a public PITS issue so if more users votes for its implementation we will raise it priority and do our best to implement it for Q2 2010. The issue is accessible at http://www.telerik.com/support/pits.aspx#/public/aspnet-ajax/1778
What you can do until our developers implement this feature is to create your own custom flash edit dialog, that will allow your users to edit the flash properties of the already insterted flash object / embed elements. You can find information about how to develop a custom dialog at: Custom Dialogs and how to get a currently selected element at: getSelectedElement.
Best regards,
