How to get the vertical scroll bar to stay put on selected item

I'm using the FileExplorer tool and every time I click on an item on the grid (right) side of the control the scroll bar jumps to the top leaving my selected item at the bottom of the grid.

Is there a way I can set the vertical scroll bar to just stay put when I click on an item in the grid section of the FileExplorer tool?

The problem has been fixed and the coming Q1 2009 SP1 later this week should work fine.
