How to get the current month view

Is there any property ,that returns the current calendar view ? (if no date was selected) ?
Or there is any way I can get the current month shown in the calendar ?

I am not sure whether you want access to these objects on the client or on the server, however server-side I use the CalendarView and MonthView. Found this information here.
