In the "a step by step learning guide" to RadControls for ASP.NET on page 82:
16. From the Smart Tag of the RadAjaxServiceManager (what a mouthful that is!), select the Configure
Ajax Service Manager Link. In the WebServiceReference Collection Editor dialog, click the Add button.
Type in the Path below and click OK:
How do I do this using the RadAjaxManager? How do I get the Javascipt generated to call my webservice.
Please update the learning guide for the AJAX controls.

Hi Jacobus,
We decided not to migrate the RadAjaxServiceManager control to our ASP.NET AJAX suite since the default ASP.NET ScriptManager control exposes the capability to invoke web services and operate with the results returned from them asynchronously.
Hence I think that you will find the following online tutorial explaining how to use ScriptManager to operate with web services helpful:
